This is kind of the end of an era for me. Craigslist is terrible...but great at the same time. Allow me to explain...
The Fuzzy Fretless is gone. Yes true believers; it's been traded for what you see above. I have an RSS to Craigslist on one of my homepages. Last weekend I saw this add for a guy who wanted to trade a new 6 string fretless for a 4 string fretless

So, I emailed this guy and he said he was serious about the trade. I sent him pics of the Fuzzy Fretless and he liked it. That bass has some seriously weird mojo. Anyway, I met him today after work and he showed me this bass. I gave him the Fuzzy Fretless, he noodled around on it and he said, “I dig it”. I tried the mighty 6er and thought “This thing plays pretty damn nice!” Well, after a few minutes, we agreed to trade and off he went. Real cool guy, been playing for a while and decided to try a fretless 6 and just never got in to it. He said he would use a 4 string fretless and he didn’t want to buy a new one, so he thought he’d trade it out. I’ve been playing the 6er tonight, and it’s certainly a new monster to try. Fretless thing aside, the 6 strings makes it a new challenge. I will adapt pretty quickly, but it’s cool to experiment with new chordal patterns with that high C down there. For an off brand bass, I have to admit that it plays really nice. Admittedly better than the Fuzzy Fretless. It needs a set up and I will get that done soon. But for now, I like it. The fit/finish is great, nice neck shape; electronics seem pretty solid, great balance and its light! It’s all active. It will be something fun, new and interesting to try and play.
So, good by Fuzzy Fretless, you have been a good instrument for the past 12 years or so, but this new fretless 6 will keep me happy for a while. Now, I just need to find that mojo.
